Well, I am sorry to say that we have probably been to Kids Party Jumps for the last time. They are closing their doors soon and I don't know if we will get back up there before they do. This was the site of many a playdate and birthday parties. I believe they are putting in a thrift store though. So, all of you bargain hunters out there make sure to check them out.
This is the first time I have been to a jumpy place and haven't regretted paying for Little Man. Due to sensory issues and fear of heights he has never wanted to go on the jumpys. He usually jumps in the cozy coupe and stays there the entire time. Not this time! He followed Munchkin right onto the big slide, climbed up all by himself and stayed there for quite awhile. He even got into a bounce house! That has never happened from what I can recall!
The girls disappeared practically as soon as we walked in the door. They have always been able to do that without a problem. Munchkin loves to bounce! There is a book called
The Out of Sync Child. At times I wonder if she is on the opposite extreme from Little Man. If you have a child that has sensory issues I highly recommend both the previous book and The Out of Sync Child Has Fun. They are eye opening. If you don't have a child with sensory issues I recommend them anyway, you may have a friend with a child that could use some of the tips in these books.
Ang and I thought it would be fun to slide together. Of course I wasn't counting on the Big Kahuna jumping on me from behind. That made it even funnier when Munchkin showed us the picture she had taken of us.
